Pricing & policies

The short version of how money, bookings and safety work at Sitters Club. The full terms are in the Parent Membership Agreement.

Membership

One membership with unlimited bookings, billed yearly or monthly — see plans and prices. Cancel any time from your Account page and keep access through the period you’ve paid for.

Sitter rates

• 1–2 kids: $20/hr
• 3–4 kids: $24/hr
• 5+ kids: $28/hr

Paying for a booking

• You pay online when you book: your sitter’s hourly pay for the hours booked, plus a $5 booking fee.
• Your sitter gets 100% of their hourly pay.
• Nothing to pay on the day — tips are always welcome but never expected.

Cancellations

• 2+ hours before: full refund of sitter pay (booking fee not refunded).
• Under 2 hours or a no-show: no refund — your sitter is paid for the time they held for you.
• Sitter cancels: full refund including the booking fee.
• To cancel, email hello@thesitters.club or reply to your confirmation email.

Background checks

Every sitter and parent is interviewed and background-checked through Checkr before they can book or be booked. Applicants pay $35 for their check, ordered from a private link in their approval email. Your SSN and personal details go straight to Checkr — we never see or store them.

Safety

• Private ratings after every sitting; members with repeated concerns are removed.
• Payments are processed by Stripe — we never store card numbers.
